Dependable. Hard Working. Respectful.

Our team truly cares about our clients and that each project is carried out to highest of standards. The Kennedy Construction team is made up of a group of unique individuals—each one bringing expertise, innovation, and professionalism to the table.

Owner-Operator

Andrew Kennedy

Andrew completed his Red Seal Certificate through BCIT in 1999 and continues training through multiple organizations to keep up to date with the latest building technics and trends to help fight climate change and to build and renovate efficient homes. Growing up in Vancouver, he gained his expertise and diligence early on working for reputable building professionals with incredibly high standards. This included custom millwork, high-end renovations, complicated additions and custom home builds. These early years gave Andrew a complete understanding of the construction process. Now in his own business, he strives to match or exceed the high standards he was so accustom to achieving in his early days.

Andrew is also a certified passive Home tradesperson which is crucial in today’s industry where more stringent energy codes are required. This training inspires a more advanced approach to energy-efficient design and construction. More importantly, Andrew is a hands on operator. He oversees all aspects of every job and enjoys a terrific rapport with all his employees.

When he manages to get some down time, Andrew enjoys time with his family and friends. He also enjoys hitting the slopes or boating in these amazing coastal waters.

General Manager

Will Markham

Will Markham is Kennedy Construction’s general manager. Will grew up in West Vancouver. His work and life experiences influenced his decision to get into construction management—he is a true team player who values the relationships we create with our clients. When he has some downtime, Will enjoys being with his family.

In-House Estimator

Luc Bregg

Luc grew up in Vancouver, BC. He started with Kennedy as a carpenter and site manager before taking the Estimating Program at BCIT—once he completed the program he became Kennedy’s onsite estimator. His work consists of collecting information so he can calculate time, materials, and labour in order to prepare project estimates.

Luc enjoys working with people through the pre-construction phase and revels in seeing plans on paper come to life. When Luc has a chance to get out of the city, he loves to go fishing with his family in the Cariboo.

Project Manager

Joe Bauckham

Originally from Ontario, Joe has been involved in construction in one form or another for over 25 years. Joe has worked on a wide variety of projects including; Residential, Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional. Projects vary from Custom Homes to Co-Generation Power Plants, Military Installations and Renovations of Monumental Historic Government Buildings. For Joe, those non-traditional, ‘One of a kind’ projects are the norm.

Outside of Kennedy, Joe enjoys everything Vancouver has to offer. He is a competitive cyclist and often competes in events. Joe tends to sport his Red Bull hat on bad hair days, and “sends it” on good hair days!

Project & Design Coordinator

Jessica Hanley

Jessica is our Project and Design Coordinator. She works with our design partners to help transition design requirements to our build teams and onsite crews. Jessica also provides design services when needed which is a great value add not only to our team but for our clients and partners. She grew up throughout British Columbia and has a background in Business and Interior Design.

Working to produce a tangible product for our clients and their families is what Jessica finds most rewarding about her role with the Kennedy team. When Jessica has free time she enjoys being outdoors, dancing, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.

Accountant

Sarah Valoma

Sarah is Kennedy Construction’s resident accountant. Sarah grew up in North Vancouver and has 27 years of experience in finance including banking and markets. She loves the commitment of her Kennedy teammates and the variety of projects they get to work on. When Sarah isn’t crunching numbers—she loves to dance.
