Owner-Operator

Andrew Kennedy

Andrew Kennedy is the Owner-Operator of Kennedy Construction—he completed his Red Seal Certification through BCIT in 1999 and credits his diligence and expertise to working alongside reputable building professionals who operated with incredibly high standards.

With over 20 years experience as a skilled builder, Andrew has worked in many sectors of the construction industry including—custom millwork, high-end renovations, complicated additions, and whole home builds. He has a complete understanding of the construction process and personally oversees all aspects of each project. Andrew is also a certified Passive Home tradesperson, which is a big plus for his clients. As more stringent energy step codes are being introduced for new builds, Andrew’s Passive Home training inspires a more advanced approach to energy-efficient design and construction.

Andrew is known for his attention to detail, willingness to lead by example, and is happy to work alongside his crew when necessary.

Project & Design Coordinator

Jessica Hanley

Jessica is our Project and Design Coordinator. She works with our design partners to help transition design requirements to our build teams and onsite crews. Jessica also provides design services when needed which is a great value add not only to our team but for our clients and partners. She grew up throughout British Columbia and has a background in Business and Interior Design.

Working to produce a tangible product for our clients and their families is what Jessica finds most rewarding about her role with the Kennedy team. When Jessica has free time she enjoys being outdoors, dancing, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.

Project & Design Coordinator Assistant

Laurel Mahony

Laurel is our Project and Design Coordinator Assistant. She works closely with our onsite crews and design partners while also assisting Jessica with providing requirements to our team. She grew up in Crescent Beach and worked as Mechanical Designer before leaving to pursue Interior Design at BCIT. Laurel joined the Kennedy team in 2017 after receiving her Interior Design diploma.

She loves collaborating with clients to create beautiful, timeless spaces that are inspired by the world around us. When she’s not bringing design ideas to life—Laurel loves to cook, dance, travel, and connect with friends.

Project Manager

Stephen Becher

Stephen is one of our Project Managers. He grew up in North Vancouver and earned a diploma from BCIT for completing the Architectural and Building program. Making a homeowner’s vision tangible is his favourite part of the job—he loves knowing the Kennedy team can make someone’s dream-home a reality.

When he’s not busy coordinating and overseeing projects, Stephen enjoys collecting stamps—he’s an avid collector.

In-House Estimator

Luc Bregg

Luc grew up in Vancouver, BC. He started with Kennedy as a carpenter and site manager before taking the Estimating Program at BCIT—once he completed the program he became Kennedy’s onsite estimator. His work consists of collecting information so he can calculate time, materials, and labour in order to prepare project estimates.

Luc enjoys working with people through the pre-construction phase and revels in seeing plans on paper come to life. When Luc has a chance to get out of the city, he loves to go fishing with his family in the Cariboo.

Accountant

Sarah Valoma

Sarah is Kennedy Construction’s resident accountant. Sarah grew up in North Vancouver and has 27 years of experience in finance including banking and markets. She loves the commitment of her Kennedy teammates and the variety of projects they get to work on. When Sarah isn’t crunching numbers—she loves to dance.

 

General Manager

Will Markham

Will Markham is Kennedy Construction’s general manager. Will grew up in West Vancouver. His work and life experiences influenced his decision to get into construction management—he is a true team player who values the relationships we create with our clients. When he has some downtime, Will enjoys being with his family.
